Start with one thick fold and tuck the bottom in so as not to overexpose your seams. And try various widths (with a high heel there's no worry about cutting off the leg).
Distract from the shoe. Keep the denim
in a complementary tone.
1 Thick Fold
Sometimes the best Milan Fashion Week discoveries happen off the runway. It's where we found our favorite transition look—pants cropped or cuffed to expose the ankle. We fell in love with the look, and brought back some tips on how to pull it off.
THE ANKLE IS HAVING A MOMENT.
Keep it sleek and slim. The roll should be tight (no bigger than 1 inch).
Cuff pants with an accent (like a side zipper). Anything else (even an ankle-length pant)
is fair game.
2 Tight Rolls
Counter the shortening effect of the
mid-calf cuff by layering similar colors.
Add clutter. Leave room (about 1–2
inches) between the shoe detailing and
the pant bottom.
